It’s no joke. I have lived off top ramen. Remember when I went to Europe? I stuffed my backpack full of it and lived off that for the first month. After I got back, I couldn’t eat the stuff for months. But I’ve lived off it before and I’m sure it wont be the last time.

There’s one thing I’m very proud of for the month and that’s change. I’m not going to go super into detail about it. But there’s been a lot of it in my life lately and there will continue to be a lot of it. And I for one am happy about it.

Day 08- Short term goals for this month and why

I’ve kind of been lagging it on the 30 day challenge. Been some crazy few days. But i’m going to try and catch up and keep it going.

For this month I don’t have many short term goals. I guess I should make it a habit to set up some goals for myself each month.

My first goal is to stop being so lazy and put a review or two on my personal website. Pretty much start that project over. I’ll probably cheat and do a review of a sci fi movie or two. Maybe even a book.

On that note my second goal is to FINALLY read Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I bought the book when it came out but to this day I haven’t gotten around to reading it.

Also, I need to organize my DVD’s, CD’s, and Video Games. I know it sounds easy but I have so many and some aren’t even in their right cases. I just want to be able to look for a certain movie and find it without spending hours trying to find it.

And finally, I’ve been meaning to get some stuff framed. To be specific, I want to frame the flyers I’ve gotten from the art exhibits I’ve been to on opening nights.

I think those are all achievable goals. Anyone think I’m wrong?

Day 07- A picture of you and your closest friend

This was by far the hardest of the 30 Day challenge for me. I have a few people that I trust completely so it was hard for me to think of one person who is closer to me than everyone. That’s when i realized that there’s one person who knows me better than anyone else and it just so happens to be this girl. Her name is Natasha. I’ve known her almost ten years. At one point in time we were engaged and that sort of explains why she knows me better than anyone else.

She can tell my mood by the type of music I listen to. Which may sound like an easy task. But its actually not. There are certain songs and bands that hold meaning to me and when I listen to them she can tell. She knows my motivation for things before I even do. There are times when something is bothering me and she’ll know before I even do. There’s no one else that knows me like she knows me. So, I just have to say I’m glad we’re still friends after everything that’s happened.

This is a picture of me in Venice, Italy eating a huge slice of pizza. During the summer of 2007 I spent about 2 months in Europe. It was perhaps one of the best experiences of my life and I can’t wait to go back someday.

I know this one is late but I’ve barely spent anytime at home today. I went to work…from work I went to do laundry. After the laundry I came home changed and went over to my friends house to get our small business paper work signed and then after leaving his house and getting home I get a call from my work telling me I have to go back and test out the next computers. So yeah…been a long day.

So, the challenge for today was to put up a picture of you and your friends. I’m putting up four because my friends are awesome.

Day 03- What you did today

Today was a slight normal Monday. I woke up and went to work. Got in an argument with one of my co-workers because he’s a douche bag. Anyways, at 2 I left work early because my friend had gotten tickets to tonight’s Angels game.

It wasn’t bad. But as my friend pointed out its not the same as a Dodgers game. The fans just seem more enthusiastic at a Dodgers game.

Day 02- The meaning behind your tumblr name

Alright, I guess its confession time. I run two twitter accounts. One is my personal twitter with the handle @lesendir and the second is a business twitter with the handle @aviciouskoala.

The point of a vicious koala is that I’m doing my own blog/website similar to what I do with Angrybananas but broader. See, I’m a nerd of all trades. As much as I love video games I also love sci-fi, fantasy, board games, text based RPG’s and so much more. So I figured, why limit myself to only video games? Why not do my own thing where I talk about and review all the geeky things that I enjoy. So I bought the url www.aviciouskoala.com/ and started a twitter account for it. I met some new people through the twitter account and did a review of two on the Koala site. Its been months since I’ve done anything on the site and I keep meaning to get on it but I’m lazy.

The Tumblr was started so that when I found something geeky, cool and random on the internet I could share it without having to make some long blog post. That’s why its lucid thoughts of a koala.

Now you know….and knowing is half the battle.

Day 01- A recent picture of you and 15 random facts about yourself.

1) I can’t pronounce the word cinnamon.

2) I have two bookshelves and still don’t have enough room for my books.

3) I constantly start projects I don’t finish

4) I have numerous short stories I haven’t finished because I am no longer comfortable with my writing skills.

5) I’m very shy when I first meet people. This often leads to people being really surprised when they find out certain things about me.

6) I read a lot about Art, Philosophy, and Science but I only discuss these topics in detail with a handful of people for my own reasons.

7) At one point in my life it was my dream to be a stock broker

8) I did not listen to rap until I started listening to Immortal Technique.

9) My favorite band is Sublime.

10) The only place I’ve ever truly felt at home was in London.

11) I was engaged once. ( End of subject)

12) Although I constantly drink PBR’s my favorite beer is Blue Moon.

13) My favorite movie is Paris, Je T’aime. I’ve seen it over 15 times.

14) My favorite game is Xenogears.

15) When I was a kid and I played Mortal Kombat. I would get scared when I got to the Goro level.

A few years ago Anne Rice decided that she would no longer write Vampire books because she wanted to dedicate her life to Christ. Instead she began to focus on writing books chronicling the life of Jesus.

However, less than 24 hours ago Anne Rice stated that she was no longer a christian. The picture is a screen cap of her reasons for quitting Christianity. Think of it what you will. Just don’t be surprised if in a few months you see a new Vampire Chronicles book at your local bookstore…

There’s a real life super hero in Tennessee and he goes by the name The Viper.

People dressing up as super hero’s is nothing new. Its been happening for years and there’s been a lot of media coverage on it. I once found a website that had a list of every real known super hero in the States and it even had their Myspace pages, if they had one. What made this even better is that there was a list of people who dressed up as super villains. If I can find the list again I’ll post it up.

from what I remember there are some that are located in California and some of the costumes I’ve seen actually cost a few thousand dollars to make.
